This logo redesign was created for the Fire Science Technology Program at City College of San Francisco. The client requested a refreshed identity that would help the program stand out while honoring its values and legacy.
This design solution takes an academic and community–centered approach, starting with an illustration of CCSF’s Science building as the foundation, topped with a Maltese Cross, a traditional symbol of fire service, to represent the Fire Science Academy. The design uses figure–ground principles to create a sense of depth and symbolism, reflecting the program’s pride in service, education, and its deep connection to the community it serves.
